Google's mobile operating system, Android continues to record positive trend. Google reported there are at least 700,000 Android devices (smartphones and tablets) which are activated each day.
These data directly mentioned by Andy Rubin, Senior Vice President of Mobile Google on Wednesday (11/21/2011). The amount of activation was obtained from the purchase and activation of any Android device. However, the calculation is not based on the device used.
From the Gartner research in the third quarter of 2011 revealed that Android already mastered 52 percent share of the smart phone market. That amount rises from the same period last year by 25.3 percent. Symbian dropped from 20 percent to 16.9 percent and the IOS down from 16.6 percent to 15 percent.
Achievement of the activation of the Android operating system is indeed quite astonishing. In May 2011 then, there are 400 000 new Android devices are activated every day. If it's been to reach 700,000 activation, then an estimated 200 million devices already exist that use Android in November 2011.
In the next year, Android will be even greater because Google had updated the OS to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Although currently only a taste Galaxy Nexus Google's latest OS.
With the successful activation of the Android OS in the future, allow the OS is going to beat Apple's IOS? Then how the competition with the Apple iPad iPhone 3 or 5 may also be slid over the next year? Wait in the first quarter of 2012.
Activation of Android devices now reaches 700 thousand units per day
