Android Gets Hounded Cyber Criminals
The popularity of Android brings a negative impact on the security of Google's mobile operating system is homemade. As quoted from The Inquirer, origin Finland, security firm F-Secure, warned that Android has become easy prey to cyber criminals.

In a report on threats to mobile devices, F-Secure explains that the number of families of malware that sweep the Android experience increased almost four fold since 2011. In the quarter the first year 2012, already found 37 new malware families.

According to F-Secure, the most common types of malware found on Android is a trojan. As many as 84% of malicious programs attacking mobile platforms consist of this type.

"The most interesting Trend is the growing number of insert trojan program that really works according the description on the user. As a result, users are so unconscious that they've become victims, "explained analyst F-Secure, Sean Sullivan.

The securities firm, said the cyber criminals install a Trojan or Rootkit exploit to take over mobile devices prior to install additional applications to make phone calls, send SMS premium-fare, and access video paid unbeknownst to the user.

F-Secure also mewanti-wanti that users of the Android Market (now Google Play) should remain alert for fake programs sometimes managed to get into the market of these official application, not just limited to third-party applications store only.

There are at least 3,431 malicious applications outstanding and prepared to attack Android devices. That number increased considerably from 139 malware that was recorded in 2010.

More worrisome, as many as 34 active malware families are currently designed to steal money (profit motivated) from infected Android devices.
