Hasbro filed a lawsuit in Federal court in the United States. There are five who filed Hasbro's trademark as the basis for the lawsuit.
Hasbro is a toy maker, among others, holds the Transformers brand. Transformers franchise started to climb again present its name from the Transformers movie on the big screen in 2007.
Hasbro also always aggressively expanding its franchise's robotic car, including presenting the animated series Transformers: Prime in 2010.
The Asus has a tablet with the name of the Transformer. One Eee Pad Transformer that has that name because it is a tablet if fitted with a keyboard "transformed" into the laptop.
The problem arises when the product went on with the Asus Transformer Prime . This name is way too similar to the series Transformers: Prime.
As reported by TheVerge, Hasbro may be worried that the Prime Transformer will be considered as a licensed product from the animated series Transformers: Prime.
