Toshiba has just launched a new tablet computer from the Excite family. The new tablet is named Excite 13 which of course has a landscape display 13inci, and called a tablet with the largest size.
According to Carl Pinto, vice president of Product Development Toshiba Digital Products Division, Excite 13 made on mature consideration because it is designed for use at home. Thus, the element of mobility is less preferred.
Although large in size, but thin enough Excite 13 with a thickness of only 0.4 inches. Its hardware specs are also quite capable, the quad-core processor Nvidia Tegra 3 with GeForce graphics, 1GB of RAM, display with IPS technology 1600 x 900 pixel resolution and 16:9 ratio.
Android operating system has been using 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), 5MP camera and front camera is 2MP.
For connectivity, available port MicroUSB, MicroSD, and HDMI.
Another unique thing of Excite 13 is in audio quality, which has the 4-speaker sound system. Uniquely, this tablet also supports 10 finger touch. Toshiba also claims the tablet battery life can last up to 13 hours.
Excite 13 will be marketed globally starting in June 2012. Excite 13 with an internal memory capacity of 32GB priced at 649.99 U.S. dollars, while the 64GB sold at 749.99 U.S. dollars.
In addition to Excite 13, Toshiba also launched another variant of the Excite7, 7 and Excite10.
